Just wanted to say thank you for this blog, Daphne is my idol and I think of her as my mentor in fashion and life. She inspires me to express myself creatively through what I love the most ,fashion, and take daring risks with it regardless of what others may think, that life is a runway show and to have fun with it. I also look up to her as a person, her kind and generous nature, her support of the arts and designers, and her grace and ladylike elegance. She is truly a lady in every sense of the word. In a
world where girls idolize Paris or Lindsay Lohan, I am glad to say my Idol is Daphne Guinness a true intelligent chic classy lady, and she inspires me to walk in her footsteps and be that kind of woman. Her fans do truly love and adore her for
the person she is.
Daphne is so spectacular... and kind beyond words. I know she's very private but I was so glad to see she's tweeting and responding to her followers on Twitter. :) She has a strong voice and standpoint on politics. I respect that. I hope she's seen your blog and the way you honor her. Kudos.
Thankyou, me too. I love how Daphne is appreciated for so much more than her aesthetic. Her style is merely an extension of her personality, not the definition.
“Daphne is about structure, so the most important thing is that her dress is corseted and shows off her incredible figure. She is also not a shrinking violet and can pull off fashion looks that many would be afraid of. I wanted her to have one of the most dramatic looks in the show.”—Tom Ford on dressing Daphne for his Spring/Summer 2011 collection.
